Vacheron & Constantin
This firm's products rank among the lesser-known and thus somewhat undervalued luxury watches. Founded in Geneva in 1755 by the watchmaker Jean-Marc Vacheron, who took in the wealthy Francois Constantin as his partner in 1819 for financial reasons. Today the watchmaking firm is still located in Geneva. The products of Vacheron & Constantin includes both "normal" hand wound and automatic models and wristwatches with almost every complication (such as chronographs, repeating, calendars). Prices begin $1800.
We are still working on the individual histories of each manufacturer, as time permits. If you'd like to submit a manufacturer history, let us know and we will credit you as being a contributing author.
