During the transition from pocket watches to wrist watches, Movado and other companies would fit unused pocket watch movements into a wristwatch case , which often explains the subsidiary seconds at 9, This is a massive watch with swivel lugs, certainly impressive and bound to be noticed , from one of Switzerlands most admired and desired makers. Movado is Esperanto for "always in motion"! (Ref rm589)
